Dear Residents, PCSO Gilkes here this is a quick round up from me and the rest of the Hillfield’s neighbourhood policing team. What`s been happening: We have conducted high visible patrols around your neighbourhood, aiming at the hotspots for anti-social behaviour, and visits. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Your local Neighbourhood team have been out and about engaging in the community. Local officers have been on high vis foot patrols around Trentham Road park where there has been a lot of anti-social behaviour. These patrols are aimed at preventing further issues from continuing, and obtaining details of the individuals. Officers have also been patrolling the alleyways surrounding Vernon close and Brook Close due to repeat anti-social behaviour. We are working alongside our partner agencies to resolve these issues. This week officers have been conducting joint visits with housing officers to locations that have been causing anti-social behaviour in the area. Your local neighbourhood officers have been out issuing CPWs to the individuals that have been involved in causing anti-social behaviour in your neighbourhood. The CPWs are written warning letters to ban an individual from an area they have identified causing issues in. ARRESTS: This week your local officers made some great arrests this set. Altogether there were 2 arrests made regarding known offenders causing issues within the local neighbourhood this week. OTHER HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK: We have received a number of reports around theft from motor vehicles. Make sure you are locking your vehicles when unattended and keep all valuables out of sight. This will prevent any uninvited people getting in your vehicles. Now the darker nights are drawing in, your safety is key. Make sure you have a read of the safety message we sent out yesterday around darker nights to get some tips and advice. GREAT NEWS: Your local neighbourhood team are looking a setting up a Street watch in Hillfields. Street Watch Team is a community patrol initiative that helps you make a difference where you live. Street watch gives you and your community an opportunity to keep your area safe.
